I am currently a literacy coach for grades 3-6 and this is the first year that I teach a middle school grade. Many of the materials I personally own are for elementary grades and assisting me with this project will help to create the environment I would like for my students and will help make the transition to middle school easier for my former students who I will have the opportunity to teach again. I want to create an environment that allows students to interactive to the text their read and will help them participate in cooperative learning groups and project based learning. Help create an inspirational environment that is inviting and fosters learning! As many educators may know, this is essential when building a classroom community. The transition to middle school is already an intimidating experience for students. The materials I am requesting for my students will assist with creating this inspiration environment for students. As well, it will allow for the classroom library to be updated with books that they will be eager to read. Let's help create this literacy classroom that promotes learning.
