Who wouldn't want to read their favorite book in a comfortable chair? My hope is that my students can choose what they read and where they sit during independent reading time after strategy group work. Students are more likely to enjoy reading and become more engaged when they can make their own book AND seat choices. The result: a love of reading and a happier student! My goal is to create excitement for my fourth graders! After we meet, my students can apply our small group work to their independent reading book. Ultimately, I would love to see all my readers utlilzing the strategies they learn in our small group, while getting lost in their books. I think these comfy chairs for flexible seating will achieve this goal!
