If I were able to get a MacBook Air for my classroom, I would be able to create videos that correspond to each math lesson I teach. Students who are absent would be able to see the online videos I create. As a result, they would not get behind in the curriculum simply by being absent. They could watch my video, write online notes, and try their homework. In addition, Parents who haven’t seen this math in 15 years could watch my videos and learn how to help their son/daughter in math. Many times students ask their parents for help and if the parents are able to watch my online videos created through my MacBook Air then they would be able to help their son/daughter. I have a way of teaching math so students and parents understand.
By creating and putting videos online that correspond to each of my math lessons I could help more student and parents. I could also use the MacBook Air to play Kahoot in my classroom to make math fun. Students love competition and love using technology. If I could hook up a MacBook Air to my LCD projector we could play Kahoot with my 40 students in each period weekly!
Not only would I use the MacBook Air for math but I also teach a technology elective. One part of the technology elective is teaching the students coding with the hour of code. I could use my MacBook Air to project the multiple hour of code resources to show the students the basics of coding. Another part of the technology elective is Quizlet. I could project Quizlet through my MacBook Air to the LCD projector and show my students how to study for math tests.
