Math has traditionally been taught in a whole group setting, using rote memorization. My goal is to break that mold and teach outside the box. My students' math scores range from below grade level to only slightly above and these iPads will help me differentiate my instruction to meet their needs. I plan on using applications, like Prodigy and Zearn (to name a few) in order to focus on Team-Building Games that promote collaborative critical thinking Young students now are extremely motivated by technology and luckily there are several research-based programs that can meet their individual needs. Using these programs will improve my students' understanding of fundamental math and help them develop cooperative learning skills.
