Due to the strict 3ft social distancing requirement, the students at our school can no longer sit at the tables as provided. Now, our students must sit in desks. This has made it very difficult for our school to procure enough desks for our classrooms. I have 18 students on my roster and will be receiving half that amount in desks. This means that the other half will be using some method of ground-seating. My hope is to ensure that the students sitting on the ground are remaining as clean, safe, and as comfortable as possible. I would like to purchase 3 sets of 4 Flex Space Floor seats from Lakeshore Learning. These seats provide extra cushion and back support and it will keep my students directly off the ground, which is a sanitary hazard. My class like so many others around the USA will be spending a large amount of time in their seats. Therefore, sanitation, safety, and a level of comfortability is high priority. The Flex Space Floor seats will be placed on top of foam mats (that I will provide). I feel this will help limit how often their hands touch the ground.
