Resources like the fraction games and flip charts will help my student learn how to visualize fractions using real-world examples and apply their knowledge in a variety of ways. It will help improve their test scores in the area of math. Having students from various backgrounds, learning abilities and processing differences requires a classroom environment that is both flexible and well equipped. The various fraction and measurement resources will allow students with different learning strengths to achieve an improved level of comprehension in the subject and confidence in their math calculations. The previous year's data showed a weakness in the area of math, particularly Fractions and these resources will help my students overcome the knowledge gaps in this area that is posing an issue. I will be able to group students and allow them to explore the resources in small collaborative groupings to extend their learning beyond what they would be able to glean from a large group, direct instruction scenario.
