I teach in a low income area in California. For most of my students, English is their second language, their parent(s) work multiple jobs, and they dream of being the first member of their family to go to college. My students have many obstacles to overcome in life and yet they inspire me everyday with their desire for knowledge. I have 33 wonderful, generous, and motivated students in my classroom.
