In a large class of over 30 kids, who sometimes are working at different levels, on different tasks, and need the individual focus, these privacy shields can help in class almost daily. This will allow students to help block out the distractions of other students in the class when individual work is in progress. It is hard to focus when some students are ahead of you on the page or working on a different task. This will help to avoid wandering eyes and bring the focus back to their desk. Often my students' desks are in groups, and this will allow easy transitions in the classroom when its time to go from collaborative practice to individual work mode.
