This project primarily focuses on giving my students the ability to choose seating options for themselves where they learn best. Research has shown that students who have access to alternative seats, not necessarily those mimicking a traditional desk and chair, are more productive and feel more incentive to learn. As a first year teacher who just graduated with a Master's, I want to make sure I can implement all of my knowledge into my classroom, not just with the way I am teaching, but also with my classroom setup. This project also includes organization factors and aids that will make flexible seating options easier for second graders. These organizational tools help students have their resources in places that make sense and enable easy access.
