My project is to provide my 2nd Grade students with a safe flexible seating option in the mindfullness corner of our classroom. With these Gaiam ball chairs and floor seats, my class can be safe while they are working and doing mindfullness exercises some may prefer to be calm and grounded on the floor while others may need the stimulation of movement. They can use these chairs when they feel overwhelmed and need a break and need to focus on restoring their mental wellness through mindfulness exercises in the mindful corner of the classroom. Some students may use them solely to do their mindful exercises and others may need to bring them to the table where they are working to keep them centered and focused and less emotionally overwhelmed. Help me give my students comfort and support throughout the day so they can do their best work and have a comfortable safe area to restore their mental well being when they feel stressed or overwhelmed.
