I believe students are more eager to learn when they are in a comfortable and inviting environment. These items will help me create a space where my students will be able to grab a book of their choice from our growing class library and enjoy a wonderful story in a comfortable reading space. I want my students to to feel like our classroom is a safe and judgement free space. I believe that this increases their willingness to learn. It is also important that they feel comfortable enough to share and discuss different topics. I think that if my classroom is comfortable and inviting, they will be more willing to share. My students struggle with stamina when it comes to independent reading. One of my goals is to help my kiddos build their stamina and hopefully they will acquire the love for reading!
