These seat options and calming pillows will allow any students to have options in the classroom. These options will be available when independent work needs to be completed, rewards as the option to change seating and as a safe place to calm down. Many of my students respond when their sensory needs are met. Soft objects often provide a sense of relief and allow the brain to settle and relax. This gives the body a time to calm down and the brain time to process what actions have been made and why. It is my goal to use whatever I can to teach my students to breathe, think, then move.
