The materials I chose for my project will help my students with cooking various dishes. My students are always amazed at recipes from different states and countries but we don't always have the tools available to make these dishes. My students represent a diverse group of students with varying needs and each item selected will assist them in creating wonderful dishes that they can maybe create with their family. From students with visual impairments to students that have difficulty with gripping and motor skills, each item was added to the list with specific student needs in mind. Measuring cups and spoons with the measurement molded onto them, cook books with bright pictures and easy to read instructions, can openers with larger grips, and giant post it notes to write shopping lists and menus will all help to make the kitchen experience easier for my students.
