These materials will help my students be able to have an organized classroom environment. I will specifically use the 30-slot mailbox to distribute newsletters, graded papers, and information intended for parents to the students. The students will know exactly which slot is theirs and that slot will be designated to them all year. The pocket organizer will be used as a form of storage for my students' earbuds the other technology used in class. The other organizational tools on my list will be used for things such as lesson planning and storage of lunchboxes. There are students who have a hard time sitting still or need a form of flexible seating in the classroom. There are items on this list that will alleviate the stress that comes with those disabilities so that each student has an equitable opportunity to focus on their academics. Lastly, with your assistance in this project, these students will be ecstatic to find out that some of the books they have specifically requested and recommended have made their way to their classroom! I believe the best way to get a child to read is to have something that they feel is worth reading. Many of the books I have in our classroom library have been donated to us; Meaning that the majority of them are outdated. This project is just the beginning of the refurbishing of the content in our classroom library.
