I am asking for an Adjustable-Height Desk that will allow students an alternative to the traditional seat desks. Getting up and standing as well as using the fidget bar will help a lot of my struggling kids that have trouble focusing in class. From the active Kinesthetic learners to those with anxiety and to those with intellectual disabilities, I know this desk will be well used! In my class I have a few students that are emotionally disturbed, several that are on the Autism spectrum, and a high number that are ADD, ADHD, and suffer from Anxiety. These kids love to move and it helps focus their brain and body towards what is going on in the class. Aside from these challenges, 12 and 13 year olds just want to move period. As someone once said, "exercise not only changes your body it changes your mind attitude and mood." And when you change the mind, you are ready to learn.
