The materials I am requesting will help my third grade students effectively communicate what they are reading with each other. Since many of my students are not native English speakers, the spanish versions allow all the students to read familiar books and discuss related topics. A seating area with the pillows will be created to allow students a more relaxed environment to read and share. The books that were chosen serve as a connection between the languages my students speak and the level of understanding the students exhibit. I will provide additional books as the students' level of communication and language mastery increase.
