Our school has not had a full-time librarian in two years. This means that the library program that once existed has fallen into disarray to the point that as the new librarian I am building it from the ground up. These materials will transform the library into a place that the students feel is more welcoming. The space will become more of a learning commons than just a library and become the foundation we need as a school to create a comprehensive and engaging school library program. Though these items are not all that is needed to create a structured and effective library program they will help to cultivate an atmosphere of progress and dedication to learning and growing.
