The items above range from a printer to granola bars. This is because the goal of this list is to help provide an environment where students can feel more comfortable during years where everything is quickly changing. The printer is because I feel my students deserve a place to print their assignments without having to stress about getting the printer before school or during their passing periods and risk being late. I want them to be successful. Books are so important to creating readers! I am always trying to add titles that will grab a student and turn them into a life long reader! A lofty goal, but possible with high interest novels. There are some basic school supplies and a few snacks. Our school has students who simply cannot fund school assignments, and sometimes come without having eaten breakfast. Students who have access to markers, glue, and project paper, and an occasional granola bar, feel less stressed and comfortable in class knowing that they will not be embarrassed for not having the necessary supplies. With your help, I can absorb some of that stress, and on success in learning.
