Choice reading is one key component in the journey for my students to become lifelong readers. Many of my students do not have access to books at home, so it is important for me to provide as many opportunities as possible to learn and read. This list of books includes multiple reading levels to make sure I can reach all students, whether they struggle or excel in reading. Through this project, my students will see the importance of not only reading, but reading literature written by a diverse group of authors. The more diverse my classroom library is, the more I can directly provide for my students. This project allows for my students to improve their reading skills and learn about cultures other than their own. I am excited to see the opportunity for growth my students will experience through this project!
