The most significant task I have as a math teacher is to show my students that they can do mathematics because it is not a concept for certain people. Therefore, I try to enhance the meaningful connections to math in my classroom. Students who may be accustomed to "textbook math" will now have the opportunity to explore and discover for themselves! We will be boundless in our learning, and not rely on textbooks. I love math, and have for many years. I want to eradicate the fear and anxiety commonly associated with math. I am hoping that I can inspire students to like/love mathematics, and aspire to pursue careers that incorporate math. Once students believe they can, they will. I will strive to negate negative experiences with fun, laughter, and capability each year. Every person is a math person!
