As stated earlier, many of my students are in the exceptional children’s program or the occupational program. Many take medications to help them focus in class. Often these medications don’t let all day. Some of the students in the last two periods of the school day need to stand and move around the classroom to help with drowsiness, and to stay engaged. Additionally, many students complain about having to sit all day in their classes. These desks will help these students to be more engaged. Currently, I use a variety of ways to keep my students focused, however having a few standing desks to allow them to move and stretch will help my students to become even more engaged.
