The books that I have selected were childhood-favorites of mine and I believe that incorporating these books during my reading block will help increase my students' interests. I also believe that the iPad will help with differentiating my instructional practice because it will allow me to offer a read-aloud option for students that struggle with reading on their own. Also, the iPad will allow me to further add more books into my classroom library in form of e-books, thus providing more opportunities for my students to develop their interests in reading. I want my students to use technology to explore different texts available as well as listen to audiobooks to help my struggling students with comprehension strategies. I think if my students are enjoying reading, their Lexile Levels will increase, and they will become more confident readers in the future.
