Many students struggle to find relevance or interest in the books that they read in the classroom. Many times this is because the literature available is difficult for our students to find interest in. These books will continue to enhance the education of my students by giving them access to another classic piece of fantasy literature that they will struggle not to find fantastic. By donating to my cause you will give my students more variety in their classroom literature that will lead to more engagement in our classroom. The unit plan for this book will include lessons going over the life of J.R.R. Tolkien (connecting to our Beowulf unit later in the year) as well as looking at how language evolves over time and looking at how perspective can change how a story is told.
