Having Ballet Barres will allow students to properly learn classical ballet and stretches that will increase their knowledge of dance. Ballet is the foundation of all dance genres. It is very important that scholars with dreams of becoming professional dancers acquire the proper training; that training begins at the Ballet Barre. Three years ago, I met two students who expressed that their dream was to travel the world as professional dancers. However, these young ladies had no former dance trainer. After some thought, I decided to start a free after school program. This program will allow me to use my expertise as a professional classical dancer, and give my scholars an opportunity to really train in the art of classical ballet.
