Scholastic Art magazines will encourage student reading and become a big part of our classroom discussions and debates about art. Art history and other art stories can be a challenge to teach. Students will often tune out or grumble just hearing the words "art history". There are so many exciting stories and happenings in the art world that I would love the chance to get students more involved in those stories. It is important for students to understand patterns and to see the impacts art history has done to our communities and for our cultures. Scholastic Art Magazines are fun to read and put together with great teaching strategy ideas. They even include an art poster! They provide a teacher's guide with National Standards, objectives and assessments. It's the total package!
