By supporting our classroom project, you will provide our youngest students opportunity to serve others using a housekeeping center and a chance to explore who they would like to be using their own dress up center. By funding this project, you will help my students will learn through purposeful play. Having the opportunity to have purposeful play in these centers builds community involvement. This kind of play in a housekeeping and dress up center allows students to enhance their social skills. This kind of purposeful play encourages these little ones to recognize their own emotional needs, as well as distinguishing social cues of the other students in our classroom. These centers will help build verbal and nonverbal skills. They will learn to build positive peer relationships though hands on experiences. The social aspect of prekindergarten is a building block to all learning and we are excited to see where this year will take us!
