The materials and supplies I've requested in this list are items that I have wished I have had over the last couple of years teaching my students. Students struggle with science sometimes because it feels like memorizing facts, vocabulary, and procedures. The items I'm requesting will help me move my students beyond this hurdle by making science hands-on, and accessible. Science is powerful when science is tangible, but making science tangible in the classroom is a challenge without having the right resources. By donating to this project you will be putting science directly into these students' hands, allowing them to engage more fully and understand more deeply. These supplies will be used for a series of labs and student projects exploring the areas of genetics and biotechnology while performing a forensic investigation.
