Our school is implementing the research based PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) Tier 2 intervention, Check in/Check out with identified students to support them in meeting their behavior goals in the classroom. Each morning, identified students will "check in" with a teacher and have a positive conversation that relates to their specific goals. A point goal is set and throughout the day the student will be mindful of their individual goals and be working to earn points from their classroom teacher(s) based on their positive behavior goals. At the end of the day, the student "check outs" with a teacher and together they review the day and the amount of points that the students earned. If the student made their point goal, then they get to choose from a list of rewards. With your donation, we will be able to provide these highly motivating reinforcements to help students succeed in meeting their daily point goal at check out. We want our students to learn that working hard for their goals can bring great rewards in life!
