Being a great musician is more than just hard work and dedication. Having quality, reliable equipment makes practicing and performing less frustrating and more enjoyable for each musician involved. Playing an inferior instrument makes it difficult for students to create the sounds they know they should make. With quality mouthpieces and ligatures, the sound of the ensemble will elevate automatically. Once my students apply their dedication and hard work, the things they can achieve will be limitless. Although they may look the same, they are drastic differences between the quality equipment we are asking for and the "bargain" things we often see online.
