I am a classroom teacher that firmly believes that healthy bodies are essential to optimal learning. The mind/ body connection is one that can not be ignored or denied. The better students feel, the more apt they are to learn more readily. We are fighting an obesity epidemic in this country, with Mississippi at the top of the list. Using the weight machine and weights requested, students will be challenged to set specific fitness goals according to a student's needs and ability levels. Our school may have limited resources, but we have limitless determination. All teachers are coaches, and all coaches are teachers - just in different settings. It truly takes a village to raise a child. Please help us to reach our goal!
