I like to empower my students to make positive choices and support them as they self-regulate their learning. Encouraging them to choose a seating option in which they can do their best work helps reduce off-task behaviors, as well as promotes engagement. Right now, my second graders are finding creative ways to incorporate flexible seating in our classroom by sitting or standing at different tables and using clipboards to work on the floor. Providing them with a variety of seating options will create a comfortable learning environment and help my diverse students remain focused, which will lead to more success. Any donation is greatly appreciated by me, my students and their families.
