Our seventh grade curriculum focuses on ancient civilizations, geography, economics, and global interactions all through the lens of the Eastern Hemisphere. My students come from various backgrounds but many of them have never even left the state much less traveled overseas anywhere. The VR glasses would give them the ability to see the places and people we study without having to step on a plane. It would give my students experiences they could all share together as a community. Additionally, it would help engage my students and enrich the learning within the room that helps prepare them to be global citizens in our interconnected world.
