My students will be reading every day in my class as a part of their year long independent reading project. As a first year teacher my existing collection of books is severely limited. Our school's library is also limited in the availability of new reading material. Having a wide selection of books for my students to choose from throughout the year will be a vital part of keeping them engaged and fostering a love of reading.
