Not only will my students learn the art of concentration and flexibility while playing foosball and table tennis, but also use their math skills while computing their scores! Many kids nowadays spend too much time immersed in electronic devices and hardly spend time playing the old fashioned way with their peers. It is time to pull them away from these addictive games and instead give them the opportunity to compete in friendly ways that raves their heart rate and also their enthusiasm. We have also the problem of too many students becoming obese due to lack of exercise. It is important to get them up and moving and table games may not seem as intimidating as other contact sports that many students feel incapable of participating in. The chance to play in a team will be given to all students no matter what their physical shape is. They will enjoy the sense of competition and belonging. Students will use their math skills to keep track of scores but more importantly, they will learn to take turns, to be patient, to persevere, and to collaborate, among many other life skills.
