Three years ago the school decided to start a Spanish immersion program in order to open up more learning opportunities for the community. Throughout this three years, it has been amazing how the community has received and learned about the importance of learning a second language as well as, how kids will be able to get in touch with more job opportunities and a whole globalized world that is in need of multicultural and bi-literate professionals. Thus, by funding this project you will help me and the Spanish Immersion team to build more foundations on bilingualism, bi-literacy, and multiculturalism. La cosecha conference brings to teachers only the best researches on the areas of dual language and bilingualism processes, it provides current research, theory, practice, and discussion in order to enhance and expand the knowledge base and experience of educators developing and implementing dual language enrichment programs. Additionally, as a bilingual teacher, it will enrich my passion for languages and foreign languages methodologies. In fact, this methodologies will be reflected in my kids' second language acquisition and performance.
