These journals will assist my students in mastering the skills necessary in math, language arts, and sight words. My students speak multiple languages, therefore; these journals will assist them with mastering their English language. The math journals will help with geometry, elapsed time, the value of money and other additional skills for first grade. The language journal will help demonstrate an understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes). By using the sight word journal, the students will be able to recall and use their sight words in daily speaking and writing. These journals will help my students who are struggling by using repetition from simplicity to complex skills. This will enable the students to achieve mastery.
