We spend a large chunk of our day working and learning together on our classroom carpet. We use our carpet for activities such as Morning Meeting, social-emotional learning, reading and writing lessons, read alouds, math lessons, calendar time, and much more. Our current carpet is worn and stained. My number one goal with teaching kindergarteners is helping them grow a love for school and learning. A new, fresh carpet will be a great way to keep students excited about whole group learning times which are vital in a successful school year.
