Teaching math is not the easiest subject to teach especially when you don't have the tools you need for success. The students I have come from low income homes and are not able to have what's needed in the classroom. I have so many ideas and ways to teach my students by doing hands on activities. In order to do so, I need the supplies that I have chosen. The large carpet will be used as a gathering place for me to teach my small groups. The paper, staplers, markers, and other supplies of the sort will be used by the students, so that they may a math notebook that they will always have. The timer will be used so that my students know how much work time they have left, as it is not good practice to cut off students without warning. The chart paper will be used to create anchor charts that reflect the discussions we have during our mini-lessons. The white boards will be offered to students, so they may work with a peer and check each others work and be able to make corrections.
