These materials will allow me to differentiate instruction so that all of my students can access the content. It is my responsibility as a teacher to create lessons that engage and excite all of my students, and these items will assist me in doing so. Furthermore, I will use these manipulatives, quadratic cards, and mini dry erase boards to fully engage my hands-on, visual learners, and to ensure that my students develop a conceptual understanding of the content rather than a purely procedural understanding. These materials will be especially helpful in teaching factoring, polynomials, and quadratics, which are three of the most essential yet most difficult concepts in Algebra.
