The item I am requesting is an 8 wireless microphone system. This will allow the students with the majority of the lines to perform with confidence. They are young and have soft voices. When we tried to perform for the school without the microphones, the younger students would get restless, talk, and fidget and this was tough on our actors. Because of this, we had to stop performing in front of the student body. Not performing for their peers is hard on the kids, and the other students are missing out on these incredible performances. We know that this microphone system will not only benefit the Drama Club by taking the pressure off these young actors to carry their voices further than they are able, but bring back the joy of watching these performances to the rest of the campus.
