I am a first year teacher in Fort Worth, TX. I will be teaching a self-contained (all subjects) 3rd grade bilingual class, where instruction will take place in both Spanish and English. I recognize the importance of literacy in my students' lives and hope to be able to help with their development in both languages. I hope to create a space where my scholars will be excited to improve their literacy with a carpet for our reading corner, as well as items to decorate our room. As a bilingual educator, I hope to foster a love for reading in two languages in my students. I hope that they will find reading enjoyable, with a space that is vibrant and comfortable.
