The 21st Century learner, especially the average 21st Century student with special learning needs, thrives in an environment that provides hands-on learning opportunities with flexible, comfortable seating. My second-third grade Special Education students will thrive in the classroom I am designing for them that is welcoming, organized, and flexible to suit their specific learning needs. With new seating options, I can help them increase their reading skills by giving them a comfortable space to practice, away from the bustle of the classroom. I can use the organizational items I am requesting to make our multi-sensory Phonics First drills a breeze. The tinkering items, both consumable and non-consumable, will be great in the Maker Space I made for my students to engineer new projects. Thank you for any and all help that you can provide to help me update my classroom for the 21st Century learner!
