During this current pandemic, teaching my students remotely has been a struggle! I teach Advanced Placement Computer Science to high school students. The students are excited to take this class, as they get to work on a computer creating video games, mimic apps and learn about the internet. At the completion of the course they have the ability to obtain college credits for this class. This class is so important, as it is very relevant in the world we live in today, especially during this pandemic, with so many people working from home on technology. I have been using an old laptop to stream/record lessons, hold ZOOM meetings and teaching my students how to code their own websites and software. My old technology was "workable", but I often found my computer crashing and losing internet connection, causing disruptions from my live meetings with my students. While researching computers, I found that the Apple laptops work best with the software and websites that I use to teach my students how to code, as well as have the necessary tools to record my lessons. As the school year is about to begin, I will be teaching mostly remotely and want to give my students the best learning opportunity possible! Please allow me to teach my students seamlessly!
