Students will have access to fidgets and chair bands in class so that they can stay calm and in their seats. When they cannot keep calm, they need a space in the classroom where they can get away, yet still be exposed to instruction. They need a place to go before actually leaving the room. Students will have an area in the back of the room, with comfortable seating and lighting, where they can take a moment to relax when upset. They will also have access to various fidgets and calming activities to help them get to a calm state and back to learning.
