In my pre-k classroom, the students will be eating breakfast and lunch together. This is meant to encourage family style eating, and also for the students to bond. Some of my students live in shelters, and depend on the school provided breakfast and lunch for their daily meals. My students are three and four years old, and naturally crumbs will be dropped on the floor. With the help of DonorsChoose.org, this vacuum would be used multiple times daily to help keep our classroom clean. Additionally, some of my students suffer from asthma, and this vacuum would ideally help to alleviate some of the breathing issues that they may face. I would use the vacuum to clean up after the students after their meals, but I also use it to vacuum the carpets in my classroom to eliminate the dust that lingers in the classroom, which would be especially helpful for my asthma-prone students.
