These books will push and engage my students, helping them explore the big questions of life from new perspectives! Students will have the opportunity to hear from a diverse set of voices about metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, political philosophy, and social justice. Using these books, we will transform the ideas ecosystem in my classroom, preparing students for college, leadership opportunities, and civic engagement. Students will be able to digest ideas, develop their critical thinking skills, and use these texts to respond to their authors in independent, self-guided projects. We will also use them during independent reading time for students to go beyond the curriculum, find their own resources, and make their own connections.
