Help me give my students a new rug and wireless listening station. This rug is where we will have morning meetings, restorative circles, story time, collaborative discussions and handwriting practice. My students are still learning how to properly write the alphabet, so this rug is a wonderful reference tool for them. My students are creative, smart, thoughtful and eager to learn new things. They will arrive to a classroom full of love and an exciting new adventure! This project will also provide my students with a comfortable and clean sitting area during group instruction. Carpet time is an exciting time for students. They are provided with opportunities to share their thoughts with their teacher and peers. I will also utilize this area as a listening station. Students will be able to stretch out on pillows and be comfortable while listening to books on tape. It is my hope that this area of the classroom will encourage my students to share their reading journey's as well as find the love for reading!
