These books would make a great difference in helping my students to better understand their feelings and help them to learn to cope with those feelings in a healthy way. These books would be used in individual counseling, small group, counseling, and classroom lessons, making them available to all the students I serve. Books are a great way to help students comprehend their emotions in a developmentally appropriate way. Students are able to connect to the book character and find that others share the same feelings and situations. It helps to normalize their feelings and let them know that they are not alone.
