These headphones will be used in our classroom in partnership with our school iPads. Students will spend time on reading applications that target individualized learning needs and math applications that provide additional instruction or practice. The use of iPads encourages independence during centers, provides valuable instructional interventions or extensions, and creates opportunities for students to develop their technology literacy skills. The use of headphones will allow students to work with decreased distractions for themselves and those working around them. Sharing headphones has proven to be difficult to do safely and effectively, so providing headphones for each student would increase the productivity in our classroom.
