The document camera and library book bins are imperative to giving students access to content. The document camera ensures that any text, math problem, or map can be projected on the wall, allowing us to have engaging discussions! This is the "updated" version of the overhead projector that many of us grew up with. Imagine the excitement of a student who can come up and project how they got to their math answer as they write it for all to see! Or the ability for all of my students to see any book projected on the wall and read and discuss it together. A student can also share their writing and drawing with the whole class. A document camera is a powerful learning tool in modern-day classrooms. First grade is a critical year for learning how to read. The book bins will help organize our classroom library, ensuring that students have access to books on their individual reading level or by interest.
